Amid this unprecedented worldwide crisis, the focus has been on the public health and epidemiological aspects of the disease. However, the actual roots of the current pandemic have received fairly little attention in the press. This week, lab member Álex Tuñas wrote a piece through a lens of conservation. He suggests if we want to prevent similar pandemics in the future, it is imperative to make more global investments in Nature and wildlife protection.
